... sells the Brooklyn Bridge on the Web every day ...
serving via an ISDN line using WebSTAR
(just converted from a 28K modem!)
on a Power Macintosh 7100.
You can relax, the romDogs are here... you can relax in part because the question of our age, 'Can anyone sell anything on the Web?' has been answered right there in New York City, and the answer is: Yes! -- you can even sell the Brooklyn Bridge on the Web... over and over again.Write to Fred Krughoff of the romDogs, also known as East Coast Web Development, for a cup of Java, a Shockwave or two, and a few tips on selling almost anything on the Web.
Fred wrote to say that his letter to MacWorld suggesting that a Mac web server can be successful even on a 28K modem line brought a lot of positive response. (Remember AMP Magazine?)
He also wrote to say that he's just set up a major financial publisher on a Mac web server using the Mac OS and FileMaker. That publisher found romDog through these pages, he says, and was told before that he would have to convert his FM databases.. ha!
Great job, and great to hear that Mac sites are being found here!
Brad has kept independent lists of Mac OS WWW servers since October 1994.
